Welcome to the official page of the ourpride Board of Commissioners! The Board of Commissioners is a small group of elected volunteers that oversee the activities of the organization, select the Organizational Direction, and managing the financial activities of the organization.
The Board of Commissioners is not to be confused with the Organizational Direction, which is a group of volunteers that manage the Organization on the behalf of the Board of Commissioners.

The Board of Commissioners is made up of Commissioners. Each member is given a title that fills out their responsibilities and duties as a member of the Board of Commissioners. First of all, is the Chair. The Chair Commissioner is the head of the Board of Commissioners and sets agendas for each Board of Commissioners meeting. Then, is the Vice Chair. The Vice Chair is a member whose duty is to replace the Chair in the event that the Chair is unavailable to attend a meeting. Next are Commissioners-at-Large. Commissioners-at-Large are members of the Board of Commissioners who don't hold a sole duty. They are dynamic members who can do many things. Lastly, the Specialized Members. Specialized Members are our Treasurers, Secretaries, etc. who are specialized in a specific subject.
Our Board of Commissioners is currently made up of 5 members. Our team are dedicated to the governance, financial operations, logistics, and appointments. Ultimately, the Board of Commissioners are committed to the long-term sustainability of ourpride and the overall performance of ourpride. Our members are elected in the International Alliance Conference and serve two-year terms.
In the interest of our organization and representing volunteers in the ourpride community, the Board of Commissioners has a total of six subcommittees, ranging from DEI, to Security. It is ensured that no one commissioner is the chair of more than two subboards. As a general courtesy, the Chair Commissioner is not allowed to be the chair of any subboards.
